The Jean Redpath Story
An exploration and celebration of the life and work of Jean Redpath. Although Jean spent much of her life in America, she was a significant figure in the early days of the folk revival in Scotland and was committed to teaching through her association with the Stirling University Summer Schools. Through photographs, video and some unique live recordings, this presentation will be an opportunity to experience the magic of Jean Redpath. One fabulous quote about Jean is worth repeating. “To call Jean Redpath a Scottish folk singer is a bit like calling Michelangelo an Italian interior decorator.”
